Yes my son and i have both had impetigo during our lives at one time or another.Impetigo is a bacterial skin condition caused by staph or strep bacteria. Impetigo is extremely contageous. At first it appears in small patches of tiny, painful blisters. These blisters break and a yellow liquid crusts over inflamed, raw skin. Children often get impetigo on their faces where they often touch with hands that are infected with the bacteria. This bacteria that causes impetigo is in the ground (in the soil), in sandboxes, in unclean clothes, towels, and in other children and other places that are touched by people who are infected. Make sure your child washes his hands frequently. Cover the lesions so the child doesnt reinfect himself and others by contaminating his fingers with the bacteria on his face. Your doctor or pharmacist will give you an ointment that will kill the bacteria. If left untreated, serious health problems will manifest.I used to garden and dig in soil alot. Then i would touch my face to wipe away sweat and to this day i have lighter patches on my face (scars) caused by the bacteria that was in the soil that caused impetigo. Clean hands prevent many diseases. Dirty hands invites disease.

My little girl got the Impetigo infection from another baby and I immediately rushed her to see the doctor. After the visit, I wasn't feeling very optimistic and my doctor didn't give us much confidence. In fact, I don't thnk he knew what he was talking about.
After finding he website, I was convinced after all fabulous testimonials and what he had to say. We used everything he outline in e-book and I was pleasantly surprised how fast everything worked exactly as outlined.
I didn't know something like this existed, but I'm glad I discovered it. My girl is healthy again and I have no more worries!
Get started and begin using fast Impetigo cure?

My kids had it when thye were small. The skin problems lasted about 2 - 3 weeks if I remember rightly.
The site below is actually aimed at children with impetigo, but contains some good solid information.

My son picked at a sore on his chin which got impetigo. It turned into a nasty rash because he kept scratching with dirty fingers. He was about 3 or 4. A topical antibiotic cream helped heal it up. It's important to keep the fingers clean and not scratch the sores then scratch somewhere else or touch someone else. It is highly contagious. Follow your doctor's orders and it should heal up in a few days.

I've had it myself and a lot of children at the daycare center I work at. If you don't take action it won't go away and if you do take action it takes anything between three up to eight days before the itching goes away. It takes longer for the skin to recover though.
Children with impetigo can't come to the daycare center until they've been on medication for 48 hours.

My daughter caught it at about 8 months, it started as a small spot on her face and within hours had covered most of her face the doctor gave her some antibiotic cream as well as liquid antibiotics and it took about a week to dry up and for her to start looking normal again and two weeks to clear up completely, it is highly infectious.

Is that similar to Hand,Foot, and mouth disease? I looked it up and it seems similar in symptoms and with the blisters on the above mentioned places. My kids had HFM and it was gone in about a week or so after taking them to the doc and getting some advice on what to do to help with the discomfort of it.

yes my children have had it, it is very common in children especially at school where there isn't proper washing facilities available. you need to get some cream from the Dr's, as for how long does it take to clear up it depends how bad it is, it can take anything from a week to a few weeks.
