I have seen baby pigeons! My friend had a pigeon nest perched behind her sky dish and it had baby pigeons in it, but they seemed to stay in there until they were huge! I think they don't leave the nest until they are fully grown.

The squabs (young pigeons) are being given a milk substance by both parents, the squabs are adult looking before they leave the nest and fly, so the young look like adults by the time we see them.

I've noticed that baby doves are never to be seen, either. I guess they stay in the nest till they are more or less fully grown

They live in nests until they are adult sized. Sometimes you will see an adolescent one (you can tell by the feathers).

They don't leave the nest until they have their full plumage. The feathers help them fly, you see.
