You don't need to boil it if it has already been pasteurized--most grocery store milk is pasteurized (heated to a really high temperature during processing). Young babies need the fat, so whole milk is preferable. Some babies are sensitive to the protein (casein) in milk or lactose (the sugar) intolerant. Their digestive systems are often not yet ready to digest the large proteins in cow's milk. If your baby is sensitive, you can try other kinds of milk like goat, or soy. Goat's milk proteins are most like breast milk. Rice milk is not recommended because it doesn't have enough fat.
