Hi, My Boyfriends brother is really shy and we are trying to coax him into the dating scene! I have heard that there is a dating site where you can post on behalf of a best friend etc...does anyone know of it or have you used it??

No... quite honestly, I would be hopping mad if a friend did that to me.... if I was going to join a dating site, which I actually might, then I would want to be in full control of the content.
