there is NO correct translation of the actual name of God, in English.
all that "jehovah" "yahweh" stuff is nonsensical and offensive.
the actual, original name of the God of Abraham, is the hebrew word consisting of 4 hebrew consonants, "Yud Hey Vav Hey" without vowels, its impossible to know how to pronounce it, so to presume to try to say it, is simply wrong and just not worth attempting to say.
the proper term for this unpronounceable name is "The Tetragrammaton"

YHWH, as another brought out is the name of the creator. And to say Jehovah is not wrong, it is better to use the name in our own language than not use it at all.
