It just seems that if you say something bad about jews you get attacked by the jews. I can make fun of anyone with very little challenge but make fun of a jew and you are in trouble. A good example is the news with keith O. He makes fun of Scientology and Tom C. but when Mel gets drunk and spews about the jews Keith O. jumps all over him night in and Night out. I see this as true all over the TV , Am I the only one who see's this?
Sorry about the poor spelling.

there is a fine line between hate and humor. Jews have an sensor for that, you would too, if you were Jewish.

as was said, theres a fine line between hatred and humor.

for example the south part episode about Scientology, thats humor. an equivalent "against" judaism would probably be found hilarious by jewish people, and the only people with the nerve and ABILITY to do it, would be a jewish person.

it might sound strange, but its true... and also the point that some jokes, said by a jewish person, about jews, wouldn't be offensive, when the exact same joke said by a non-jew would be offensive. some are more neutral, but not offensive.

in fact I'd say most jews have a very high tolerance, having been accustomed to taking it... but of course, as they say, if you make something foolproof, they'll make a better fool. the fact that moderate negativity doesn't get a rise, means they resort to signifigantly more vile hatred, thinly masking it as humor.

hateful things you say when your drunk are not humor. its showing how you really feel.

whats sad is that non-jews so frequently have SUCH a hard time distinguishing between race/religion related humor, and vile hatred.

Hypersensitivity would be my guess. Personally, I think if you're "God's chosen people," and you'd been through what the Jews have been through historically, you'd develop thicker skin than that.

The Mel Gibson thing is a great example. Everyone jumped him for his anti-Semitism, but no one asked what a married man with children was doing out driving drunk at two in the morning. To me, that was the bigger issue.

On the one hand, you shouldn't make fun of anyone because it is mean and cruel. On the other hand, Tom Cruise is a freaky little couch-jumping ponce and the scientologists base their whole "religion" on alien pod people who live in Hawiian volcanos. Mel Gibson is, and always has been, a drunken whackjob. Check out Mel's early movies. I'm not entirely sure that dude was "acting". Also, please remember that Christianity, Islam, and modern-day Judaism all came from Abraham's old-school Judaism, so I think the jews have a few thousand years of validation behind them.

Actually a lot of comedians are Jewish, we have very good senses of humor and actually a large part of the humor is making fun of ourselves and others...life in general. What Mel said and did however was NOT a joke, he was being a drunk jack *** and said things which he did not mean to be funny.

Many believe that the Jews are untouchable.
They are the chosen people of God.
The Jews of today are not the Israelites of yesteryear. The scripture reveals the long history of unfaithfulness in turning away from God. This would happen with any group of people God chose to have the messiah come from.
We are all sinners in need of a Savior.
The only path to Heaven is through the one and only obedient Jew. This Jesus Christ, he obeyed God perfectly.
Jews, and everyone. have had their sins paid for by the life, suffering, death, and glorious ressurection of Jesus Christ. God's love is unconditional to all. Jesus took care of the conditional part. The only Jews who are going to Heaven are those of faith in thee Messiah, Jesus Christ.
This statement may hurt a lot of feelings, but I am not saying this to make you feel good. The truth hurts. God's compassion cuts to the heart. If anyone is relying on their heritage as a ticket to Heaven you are saddly mistaken.

No, you are not the only one who sees this. I notice it as well. Whenever this happens – and it does so with great frequency – I think of Ecclesiastes 7:21 which reads: “Do not pay attention to every word people say or you may hear your servant cursing you. For you know in your heart that many times you yourself have cursed others.”

Frankly, every single human being opens his mouth and says things he ought not to say. Everybody is sensitive - to a greater or lesser degree. Yet some seem to be overly sensitive. On the one hand, speech from this direction is labeled as ridicule. Other speech from another direction is automatically labeled anti-Semitic. In truth, we all ought to keep in mind the words at Ecclesiastes above – watch our mouths and, at the same time, stop being so sensitive. It’s not all about me. And it’s not all about you.

Talking bad about Jewish people has led to the deaths of millions
of Jewish people.
Think about it!
All human beings have common failings. Talking about one
sex, or race, or nation is nothing but false pride. Based on the fact we all must deal with low self-esteem.
Low self-esteem coming from ourselves being put down by
others. Do we really think acting the same will make us feel
any better about oursleves?

thts because jews are the chosen ppl.
so its ok to hurt other ppls feelings. its ok to hurt muslims feeling, call them all terrorists, make fun of their prophet whom they love more than their parents, and deny their whole history(including the torture and hardships they faced), BUT DO NOT DENY THE HOLOCAUST FACED BY THE JEWS OR U WILL BE JAILED
and wen a chosen person does something wrong, ignore it.
wen a chosen nation does something wrong, ignore it
but wen a muslim does something wrong, blame it to ALL 1.5 BILLION muslims and their religion.
there is nothing wrong in this and no hypocrisy involved.
y must we behave like this?
i hav no idea. the world just behaves this way

Mel Gibson was self-righteously attacked over his making of
his movie, The Passion of Christ. And I supported him.
Nevertheless, he was a stupid fool for indulging in self-pity
over it the way he did.
Like he said himself. He needed the public humiliation to
snap him put of it!
