I have been reading a lot of questions in here and also on the news and other sites on the internet and I was wondering why do people condem other religions other than their own? Why do they feel the need to say their religion is better than someone elses? Why can't people just deal with the fact that there are other religions in the world and we have free will to decide which one we want to follow?

Any religion that doesn't teach what Jesus taught deceives people and damns their souls to Hell.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Other religions might teach people good and moral rules for living on this earth but in that respect they are no different than learning the rules that any competent parent can teach their children. When it comes to teaching about the things beyond this visible world and on into eternity if a religion doesn't tell the truth as given to mankind by God then it is a religion that comes from the Devil.

2 Corinthians 4:2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. 5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. 6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Because people fear what they don't understand and refuse to open their hearts and minds to new ideas, especially ones that shake the very foundations of their entire belief system. People are afraid of being wrong, even when they KNOW they're wrong(and this doesn't pertain to religion only, people are afraid of admitting they're wrong, period) or have done wrong. People want answers handed to them instead of searching for them on their own. They want to be reassured instead of facing the scary truth of "I don't know."

Even well meaning people who claim to be open minded can fall prey to this. I've known a lot of people who say they're open minded, but when you question their beliefs, suddenly they clam up and refuse to consider the thought. It's mostly ignorance and being programmed to think a certain way from the time they were children, but even without indoctrination, people are just plain afraid to admit "I don't know".

The reason behind it is all those people are something called an :"ADEPT".
They are intolerant by definition, even if their religion advertises tolerance and acceptance of the others.
ADEPTS are the most vengeful race of humans, and they fight. See Israel and the Palestinians, and the Arabs. They are cleansing each other daily, and it is rolling... They will never stop.
See Shias and Sunnis (same Islam)... in Iraq... They are cleansing each other...
What a zoo

Because the questions usually address one or the other. Mostly I have seen Christians, and then usually calls for you to defend your religion. No, people usually do not want to accept that, although I think they should.
