No the genetic fluck is you will never see a tri-colored calico who is a firtile male. Just can't be done. Cat-zinova is too busy with the ladies to fuss about a third color!

This is actually not true. A 3 colored cat is called a Calico and most calico cats are female as well as tortoiseshell colored cats. Very rarely a male calico or tortie color cat is born but in these cases the cats are almost always sterile.

A calico cat must be a tri-color, with its three colors in distinct patches, not mixed as in a tortoiseshell cat. Some breed standards specify what percentage of the body must be white; others allow tabby striping in the color patches. To be a true tri-color, a calico cat's colors must be: white; red or cream; and black, blue, chocolate, lilac, cinnamon, or fawn. The variations in color from red and black are caused by a gene which dilutes, or lightens up the basic color, and produces a dilute calico cat, most commonly with a coat of white, cream, and blue.

The reverse is true, a calico male is extremely rare, but possible and actually very valuable. I have one now and have had quite a few female calicos over the years. I have actually seen a male at the vet.

You are talking about "tortoiseshell" and "calico" cats. It's true that if the cat had black, white and orange fur the cat is FEMALE. This color type excludes males.

I doubt it. One of my cats is tri-coloured and she is very much a female in every sense of the word.
