my dad did an ESR test and it was very very high and he is losing his weight , does this mean he has cancer?

A high ESR result does not mean your dad has cancer. ESR tests are used to aid in the diagnosis of several conditions, but not a true indicator of anything specific. A doctor would already have an idea that a patient is suffering from a specific condition, order the test, then use the ESR result as a tool to help support his diagnosis.
Your father should have some idea of what the test was given for. Have you talked with him? It could be an inflammatory or autoimmune illness that has nothing to do with cancer. If he has no idea himself, he needs to have a long talk with the doctor who's treating him.

I'm not familiar with an ESR test. But only if the doctors confirm that he has cancer will he have it. You should keep in touch with your Dad's doctors and ask them a lot of questions about his condition. I hope he get better.

The results of the tests would indicate,,,, as well as his symptoms that there is a serious concern. There are also other factors that can produce the same results. False positive conclusions will only make your worries more acute. Keep an attitude that everything will be okay and have faith. Worry, when you know for sure that all of you are going to have to fight for his life will happen in time and nothing can predict the outcome. Generally, the doctor will not give hope but will offer solutions, This is a battle in a war that is winnable. It is not a death sentence...good luck and you are in my prayers several times each day.

The ESR test find that there is an inflammation in the body, could be due to many reasons. You father has to have more test to find what is the reason for that result. Not necessarily Cancer
Could be for another disease .

I don't know if your father has cancer or not, but all diseases are curable. Get a copy of the book, "The Cure For All Diseases," by Dr. Hulda R. Clark, Ph.D.,N.D. See the link below. And, remember that there are only two causes of diseases, Toxins and Parasites.
