i don't think a Christian should take part in war, just because your country leader say's he wants you to fight and kill others, does that mean it is not murder in the eyes of God?
If a Christian follows Jesus command to love neighbor, how can he justify killing him?
And when a chaplain blesses the troops and says that God is with them, does that mean God forgot about the people on the other side of the war? Or does he view some nations as better than others?
I dont think so.

A Christian` view` is simply a collection of words. Christian `actions`are what we should judge. I believe the self righteous attitude of Christianity, the unbelievable cruelty, bigotry and violence, far exceeds that of any other religion. Christianity has interfered , supported, ignored, or actively sponsored so many violent, warlike episodes in world history that it becomes impossible to believe there is such a thing as a `Christian view`. Peace, love and, tolerance are tenets of faith found in all religions, Christianity is not unique - it`s simply never wrong!!!

The bible says " In the last days there will be war and rumors of wars" also according to the Bible God did go tell the Israelites " to take the land of Cannon" So as a Christian I say we must defend ourselves even if that means for us to take the offensive. Look at it this either we fight this war now when they are weak or wait later and fight them when they are strong any way it go you have to fight. Also its not Presidents Bush fault for the war so lets not blame him for others peoples bad decesions that got us into this war in the first place.

The bible says " If some one slaps you on one cheek give him the other"
The christians are the most experienced in war,
Many centuries they fought among themselves,
Catholics and protestants.
Maximmum no of the worlds wars were fought by christians for thier religion, most between themselves.
Europes history is full of them.
The Christians are unlike what Jesus wanted them to be.
Jesus wanted peace,
Christians want war.

i do no longer think of a Christian could take part in conflict, purely because of the fact your usa chief say's he needs you to combat and kill others, does that recommend that's no longer homicide interior the eyes of God? If a Christian follows Jesus command to love neighbor, how can he justify killing him? And whilst a chaplain blesses the troops and says that God is with them, does that recommend God forgot with regard to the human beings on the different edge of the conflict? Or does he view some international locations as greater advantageous than others? I dont think of so.

Depends on what the war is about for me. In the case of the current Islamic Fascist's agenda to rid the world of who they consider infididels, ie any other religon that is not theirs. I think we have to defend ourselves against them. I may be wrong and maybe god wants us just to lay down and let them kill us all but somehow I don't think so. Is individual freedom worth fighting for even if you are a Christian? I say yes. We will all find out someday.

Not trying to be political but, I believe we are supposed to fully support our congress and president for the majority of America is christian and I believe that for the majority their hearts are in the right place. Whether the war be with Iraq, Afghanistan or future wars with North Korea, Iran, or China which I feel is inevitable. The one thing that America has over the rest of the world is that we are the #1 economy. But that might not last long. Think The Romans.
