Yes I am fasting today and yes feeling the hunger for me is the best part. It reminds me more of those less fortunate.

If you are exempt from fasting then I would eat and drink regularly. Your body will not be able to make enough milk for a three month old baby when you do not take anything in for hours at a time, especially no fluids. Your baby will be suffering and potentially have some health consequences. Drink as much fluid as you can and take at least two really good meals a day, with at least some snacks in between. You need about 500 calories a day more than you normally do when breast feeding. There is a reason that fasting rituals in almost every religion exempt pregnant and fasting women, the very young, and the very old.

What is the meaning of 'observing'? Sorry I did not get it. Yes I am hungry even though I ate at 4am. It is no use as food is digested, it does not stay for 10 hrs. Hunger is not a problem, we can a least feel what it is like in Africa with all the famine that does not want to leave the poor souls. I wish no one feels hungery on this planet, ever.

Yes, I am fasting today, and no, I am not hungry right now. I have gotten in the habit of fasting by now, and dont really feel hungry until evening.
Besides, I just had suhoor of salmon and rice and vegetables an hour or so ago.

I have a legitimate excuse and am not fasting today, got my period. Will resume my fasting after it is over and make up for the days I lost after Ramadan enshaa Allah. It could be as soon as starting of the second day of the eid, but not the first. We have to mark the end of Ramadan and break the fasting even if for one day then fast either some Sunnah days (6 days) or to make up for whatever reasons you did not fast (period, sick, pregnant, travelling, etc).

I am fasting in all the ways. Hunger is important but remember to also fast from other diseases of the heart such as anger and greed and jealousy etc. Rasul Allah (saw) said that if you do not fast from these then God has no need for your hunger.
A word about the sunnah fast after Eid. You cannot use it to make up your legitimately missed days in Ramadhan. If you have days you need to make up then you must fast them first because they are fardh. After you make them up, if it is still in Shawal then you can fast the sunnah fast. 6 days. If you fast all of Ramadhan, make up your missed days and then fast the 6 sunnah in Shawal then Rasul Allah (saw) says in authentic hadith that it is the equivalent to fasting for one whole year.
And Allah knows best.
Peace and Blessings,
Salim
