If you don't have a disinfectant, it will get infected. Wait at least until you can get some peroxide or rubbing alcohol. Also, I'm guessing your friends had it done by professionals who knew what they were doing. That's why it didn't hurt them. Sticking a needle through yourself will hurt. You might as well wait until your mom gives in, because you're not gonna be able to get a good gauge from a safety pin anyways. You'll look weird with a little gauge.

I won't try to talk you out of it, I will say that even when done profesionally:
Research from Texas Tech University found that a belly button piercing has a 45 percent chance of getting infected.
The best way to do a navel piercing at home is DON'T! Why end up doing something that is going to be so ugly you won't want to show anyone? Get it done professionally if you really want the world to look at your belly....

believe me... that may not something you opt to do yourselves at abode. Get it professionally executed. it quite is risky in case you do not know what you're doing. you are able to finally end up perforating your intestines, which could be deadly. I pierced my own abdomen button, in the past there have been piercing studios. It become the main depressing journey EVER! I have been given a 12g piercing needle, and shoved it interior the direction of the flesh. it quite is stunning how plenty rigidity it takes, and ended up taking me in simple terms approximately 15 minutes to get it each of how by using. THEN I had to fumble around with getting the jewellery located. THAT took yet another half-hour. next got here the an infection. It took me six months to clean up the an infection. Topicals did not artwork, so i mandatory to take systemic antibiotics. Now i've got have been given a astonishing quantity of scar tissue the place my soft abdomen was once. do not make the comparable mistake I made. Get it professionally executed.

The best way to do it is to stop wanting to be a grown up (clearly you're not even a little grown up), and go to a piercing shop so that ppl who know about what nerves are where and how to do this correctly can do it.

Unless of course you want to hit the wrong nerve and have it stop working.

Enjoy hitting the nerve and having it get infected. Hope you like how it looks after that.
