They don't know how to celebrate New Year south of the Scottish border. Come to Edinburgh and do it properly..

The Thistle Hotel (ex Park Hotel) is quite a nice / upper class hotel. Still set in the older ways of doing things. Acts Victorian if that makes sense! However, the building, grand as it is, is a little bit worn out now! Creaky floor boards, poor central heating etc. The location is excellent though, right on the main shopping street (Queen Street) and walking distance of all the night life in the city.
I would recommend staying there, but have your eve elsewhere in the city!
