They definitely do! Lucy who unfortunately died last year was like my little baby. I had her since she was a duckling and she had her own personality. My sister used to tease her and she would come hide behind me cause she knew I was her mommy. She even knew her name and she would come when I called her. It's sort of the same with chickens but they're pretty stupid so they just follow whoever feeds them and they don't really respond to a name. But ducks are a lot like dogs. They love unconditionally.

Yes. Ducks "imprint" when they are very young and learn who their "Flock" is. It is very much like a human baby knowing the face of his Mother.

Hell yeah. I had two ducklings that grew up but they poop too much. My grandma killed and cooked em. I didn't eat any of em though they were my babies.
