ladies and gentlemen, would you still be with your bf/gf if you know your gonna be with monsters-in-laws? i kinda feel that my bf's mum don't really like me?
i don't get it, everything goes well and suddenly someone (his parents) comes along and test your relationship? i changed him for the better but i guess ppl don't see what sacrifices you did. anyone else been in this situation before? kinda frustrating isn't it? sigh.

If the problem is that his mother may not be totally into you, then you have misunderstood your position. You shouldn't care this much for his parents' feelings, but concentrate on his and your own. His mother will have to come to terms with your relationship whether she likes you or not.

clcalifornia answered before me, and I would have said the same things. If his parents are able to "test your relationship", it's not all that strong. I'm wondering in what way did you change him? When his parents come along and wreak havoc on your relationship, perhaps he did not really change into that new person!

Yes, I've been in this situation. The way I met my future mother in law, was her catching me and my boyfriend in his room. I was hiding in the closet and there she appeared. After that day, I thought for sure that she was never ever gonna like me or even try to get to know me. One year passed by and we are the best of shopping buddies ever. You have to give her/them a chance to let themselves know that YOUR not going anywhere. Once they realize that, they will start to get to know you more.

You are with a guy you are with his family. If he is willing to put you first and keep them in line, that is good. otherwise move on.
If you feel you are sacrificing well......bad start for a relationshiph.
There are too many things wrong/ But them it sounds like you enjoy being the care giver, the fixer etc. IT is NOT Your job to fix this man or his family. Find a guy who doesn't need fixing.

It all started...Yeah one day when we were talking, telling stories of our lives..I cant imagine going through this...never hesitated to tell you... as days passed us by, I was unknowingly building a friendship with you. It became evident that my aim in life without knowing of what was to happens next was to get closer to you...I got this feeling inside..
