Charity starts at home.

We Americans have CHOICE of who we want charity to go to in the world, then we give charity in time of need.

I don't want illegal aliens tell me which group of people I have to give my charity to!

Everyone has Human-Rights no matter if you're rich or poor regardless of race or country.

Each country takes care of its own.
If illegal aliens are looking for Human Rights they had better start in their own country first.

Start with their own government. Take it to the U.N. Learn to help yourself in your own country. Don't come and steal from the United State!

Ah, but there are human rights. Human rights are why the police can't just shoot you down like a dog in the street, human rights are why slavery's illegal, human rights are why it's illegal to beat your kids into submission, human rights are real. CIVIL rights are your rights as a citizen, right to a fair trial and so forth, right to be secure in your home and your possessions, right to defend yourself, voting rights, so forth and so on.
Here's the fun part: OUR government does a great job of observing human rights. The same can't be said of a long, long list of other countries out there, unfortunately Mexico's one of them...which is why there's a bum's rush to move to the United States.

I support human rights, and those should be duly observed in dealing with Mexico. I also believe it's fully possible to enforce immigration law without violating anyone's human rights. Illegal aliens should always be treated humanely, but they can be deported anyway, in a humane and speedy fashion. Maybe the ICE should strive for 'speedy same-day service with a smile',
if FED-EX can deliver a package anywhere in the world in 24 hours, and Mexico's at most 3 hours away by air from any point in the lower 48 states, there's really no reason to drag out deportation proceedings for longer than necessary.

But, the whole debate wouldn't even be an issue if the US/Mexico border fence were built.

My position on Mexico is this: If they can build 5-star tourist traps, they can build roads, schools, and hospitals too, those things that their country needs in order to support their own people.

I think your missing the point. Human rights exsist to protect people all around the world, but that all depends on what country you live in. It is up to the countries government just how far they are willing to go to "enforce" in the broad since those rights. Wars exists in most cases because those Human Right are not being upheld, and the human condition is so sever. Everything is sticky when it comes to Human Rights because it is hard for any country to determine what is too far!!!! When does another country step in to protect other people, but their own citizens? I think you need to do your own research on Vietnam, WWII, WWI, Bosnia and Hercgosovania, etc... Those wars are all about when for example the United States stepped in to uphold Human Rights. Human Right however, does not, and should not give any imigrant any right to come in this country illegally if that is the point you are trying to make. Research!!!!

Of course there are, and we as part of the international community try to uphold them. Those are things like basic health care for people in prison, etc. Not free education for whomever illegally breaks in to the country.
