A witch's powers may be super or, well, powerful, BUT THEY ARE NATURAL. I'm not talking about powers like the ones you see on Bewitched and the Charmed Ones. What they did on those TV show often was UNNATURAL ! Witches use NATURAL energies to enhance their lives and to heal and protect themselves, their loved ones and the Earth. When a Witch learns to focus on NATURAL energy,she/he will learn to increase it, channel it and send it out into the world. As Witches we probably won't be able to turn someone into a frog, (that would be UNNATURAL), but is that something a NATURAL Witch really want to do ? =)

I have to disagree with the person who said it is or is not hereditary. Those who do not have a heritage -- or whose heritage was not transmitted -- are not "playing" or transvestites or whatever other distortion you may think up. A witch is a person who believes in Wicca, which is a religion. Like any other religion, there are those born to it and those who are "converts." Converts are often more sincere and dedicated than those who learned from their parents.
To me, a natural witch would be someone who feels very much at home in Wicca and its practices, while an unnatural one would be someone who is picking up ideas from mass media and trying them on, who does not learn to take it seriously, who puts it on and off like a costume for a Halloween party.
