I also have an 11 month old and it seems as like he's only napping once a day now...he used to nap twice...in the morning at in the afternoon. He's sleeps very well at night. He's usually in bed by 7:30-8:00pm and is up around 7am. If you don't want the baby taking two naps pick the one you want her to skip...probably the afternoon one would work better and play, play, play with her she/he will be very fussy at first but you have to wear her out so she will sleep through the night...give her/him a nice bath and hopefully she'll/he'll knock right out with a bottle.
Good luck!!
:-)

At 11 months my kids had no naps, they went to sleep early in the night themselves and woke up with the sun. My kids would also wake up because they needed to pee. So I would take them to the potty and give them a glass of water and they would go back to sleep. They were dry at night before they were dry in the day. Point is they are all different your fella may not need the daytime naps.

my 11 month old baby is still having 2 naps. you have to get your baby in a routine, i dont let my baby sleep after 4 o clock in the afternoon so he will still sleep through the night. but all babies are different. if your baby is not slaaping during the night then maybe they are sleeping to long during the day so gradually shorten the naps

By the time my daughter was 11 months old she wasn't napping at all. As an infant she only took one nap during the day and it got shorter and shorter as she got older. Didn't bother me any because she was in bed by 7:30 every night.

Why not let him sleep when he needs it. I know how it feels when I'm tired & I can't sleep. It's horrible & he will only be cranky. One more thing don't listen to too many people when it comes to your child. I did that & if I could go back I would nicely say "Thank you for your opinion but you raised your child let me raise mine".
Good luck

It is time to see a doctor seriously. He/She may be having some health problem. Other wise it is time to avoid the nappies. If you believe in Ayurveda or Homeopathy, they can do some thing good for your baby.

when he stops sleeping for one of the naps, try shortening his afternoon nap time and see if that helps

Whenever he doesn't want to take 2 naps.
Everything is not always going to work the scheduled way like in the books, you have to think for yourself.
