How about dropping the ten of them, and binding yourself only to the legal system. Isn't that enough? I mean the essential is there (don't kill, don't steal, etc.)

They would be more applicable if people just did what Jesus said. Above all commandments, love one another as I have loved you.

i think we should personalize the commandments. choose only what you like and what applies to your situation in life. having all 10 can be rather stressful, specially when you have to follow traffic rules as well, don't you think?

love the Lord you God only and do not make or worship Idols I think not they are still the greatest comands our idals may have changed to money cadgets and tv but they are still things we should not put before God
