try photorejuvenation or microdermabrasion.
if the scar is rather new, avoid sun exposure. also, apply vitamin e (straight/pure from the gel cap) regulary to help the healing.
the older it is, the less chances you have of minimizing it.
you can't get rid of a scar by using topical creams, ointments, etc.

not sure if you can get bio-oil over there but is fantastic for reducing the apperance of scars and stretch marks .a scar will alweays be there but the good news is it will fade ..its probably not as noticeable to many ..but because your aware that its there you think its more noticeable your fine dont worry

Mederma. I know Walgreen's has it's own store-brand which is the same thing, so you might be able to find a cheaper, generic version at drugstores.
