The Churches should lead the way in helping the Poor but most of them only came up with a "Poor Box" and it isn't subject to Audit!!
The Salvation Army is an exception. The Government will not help the Poor because they do not vote.

Poor people don't help the rich - it works both ways. If the rich feel resented for their hard work and achievement they are likely to be less generous, and to regard those who resent them as just jealous and lazy.
If the poor relate to the rich without resentment, the rich are likely to feel more empathy towards them and that breeds generosity. I never give to those who ask or demand, but I am generous to those I see trying to do the best they can without a chip on their shoulders.

It is not the job of rich people to help poor people. Also, what does this have to do with Food & Drink.

Yes, it seems the only ones helping the poor at all are the ones on lower money. It is a truly sad situation.

Can tell not much rich people will help on the poor. Please stand up on your own feet, if you are poor.
p/s: i was poor, and i worl hard everyday for a better leaving. why must i rely on the rich? I have my own foot to stand on.

it would be nice, but they're not obligated. if all the churches would do without stained glass and multi million dollar buildings and stop paying the preacher (the bible says they aren't to be compensated) and donate all that money to charity there would be no need for anyone to do without...........as far as that goes the cost of the invasion of iraq could've put food on everyones table as well as heat and school books not to mention medicine for our elderly. all we can do is donate our time and money and let our opininons be known............peace
