If there is a song that all of the bridal party "gets" choose it. I played a song from our high school days for my bridesmaids. My friend played a song that we partied to at her bachelorette party. It should be a song that has meaning so years later when you hear that song you think of the events tied to it.

Have the groom sit on a chair in the middle of the dance floor and dedicate a song to him from the bridemaids. Then they all sing along with Aretha Franklins "Respect" (how you want him to treat your friend)
