I was in my room, about to kill myself and i cried out to him. He then lead me to a church which my mother was attending, I went on my own accord and stayed, I listened, and i applied. Without the lord Jesus Christ I would rather kill myself, this life has nothing, this is a horrible world, I knew that since my birth. Life is not my purpose, God wanted a soldier, he raised a soldier, and so he made for his glory, a soldier.

Acts 2:38... EVERY TIME scripture talks about someone becoming a Christian it is the same.

Ac 2:37 When the people heard this, their hearts were filled with shame. They said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what should we do?” 38 Peter replied, “All of you must turn away from your sins and be BAPTIZED in the name of Jesus Christ. Then your sins will be forgiven. You will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit... 41 Those who accepted his message were BAPTIZED. About 3,000 people joined the believers that day.

Ac 8:12 But Philip preached the good news of God’s kingdom. He preached the name of Jesus Christ. So men and women believed and were BAPTIZED.

Ac 8:36 As they traveled along the road, they came to some water. The official said, “Look! Here is water! Why shouldn’t I be BAPTIZED?” 38 He gave orders to stop the chariot. Then both Philip and the official went down into the water. Philip BAPTIZED him.

Ac 9:18 Right away something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes. And he could see again. He got up and was BAPTIZED.

Ac 10:47 “Can anyone keep these people from being BAPTIZED with water? They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have.” 48 So he ordered that they be BAPTIZED in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked Peter to stay with them for a few days.

Ac 16:14 One of those listening was a woman named Lydia. She was from the city of Thyatira. Her business was selling purple cloth. She was a worshiper of God. The Lord opened her heart to accept Paul’s message. 15 She and her family were BAPTIZED. Then she invited us to her home. “Do you consider me a believer in the Lord?” she asked. “If you do, come and stay at my house.” She succeeded in getting us to go home with her.

Ac 16:33 At that hour of the night, the jailer took Paul and Silas and washed their wounds. Right away he and his whole family were BAPTIZED.

Ac 18:8 Crispus was the synagogue ruler. He and his whole family came to believe in the Lord. Many others who lived in Corinth heard Paul. They too believed and were BAPTIZED.

Many churches teach FALSELY that baptism is not essential or is something to do at your convenience. That is NOT THE PATTERN GIVEN TO US IN SCRIPTURE. Read the context at Acts 16:33. This guy got his family up in the middle of the night to hear the gospel and they were baptized THEN, NOT LATER.

I was young, probably around 12 or so, attending vacation Bible school with some friends. The preacher started talking about getting saved and I knew right then I needed too. I knelt down in the pew right there and asked Jesus to save me and He did. Best thing I ever did.

I'm not saved. I'm still living on Earth. But I believe the Word of God which tells me I will be saved if I persevere to the end. I am on the road to salvation, working out my salvation day by day as the Holy Book commands, and with the grace of God I will remain on the straight and narrow path until my dying breath, and receive the gift of salvation. Praise God!

I am a Jew and my father is strong in his orthodoxy. I just want to say that to give further background before I tell the story of my salvation.

I was 16 years old and I had some gentile friends who invited to church one night. They had invited me many times before, but for some reason I accepted their invitation that time.

My father did not want me vto go and was not happy that I went, but I went anyway. He dreaded it for the very reason that eventually happened.

I gto the money from my mom to buy a Bible so that I could study it, I had to do it in secret because of my father, however.

I study my Bible in secret for a long time before I made up mind as to who Jesus is/ was.

I decided, based upon my study of scripture, that Yeshua (Jesus) was messiah as he claimed and I have not turned back since.

I eventually told my father and he was not pleased at all. He would not even speak to me for awhile, but he eventually and grudgingly accepted my decision. He cared more about and for me than he cared about and for his disappointment in my decision.

My father and I are closer than we have ever been even before my decision to acept Christ as messiah.

I adore my father so much and his words and thoughts are so significant to me. It hurt me extremely much to know his disappointment in me.

One friend gave me Bible verses to read. Another friend gave me a tract explaining salvation. One night, in the quiet solitude of my bedroom, I accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior.
We can never be saved because of what we do; we can only be saved because of what Jesus Christ has already done for us. Let me explain.

Our greatest problem can be put in one word: sin. Sin cuts us off from God, and sin also keeps us out of heaven. But how can we get rid of our sins? We can't erase them or cause them to disappear by ourselves; we don't have the power. The only way we can get rid of our sins is for someone to come along and take them away for us.

And that is exactly what Jesus Christ did for us. We are weighed down by the burden of our sins—but Jesus took that burden upon Himself when He died on the cross for us. To put it another way, He took the punishment we deserve when He went to the cross in our place. The Bible says, "For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God" (1 Peter 3:18).

What must you do? Simply believe that Christ has taken away your sins, and then receive Him into your heart and life. The Bible's promise is for you: "To all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God" (John 1:12). Become God's child today by asking Christ to come into your life.
