Just like opartor said... He talks about god not on a spiritual context, but more like universe, like the WHOLE THING.

Einstein did the same thing... he said God does not plays dides(dados) with the universe. That's a way to say god as a universe and HE the ruler of it.

Boy you really should use spell check - Stephen Hawking is a GUY (not gay) that writes books about PHYSICS (not fisic).

And as far as his beliefs -that's his business not ours.

any time Hawking used the word "god" , i assure you, he was NOT referring to a "personal god" , like biblegod

for example, when einstein talked about "god" he was referring to the universe itself

(look up:"spinoza" or, "spinoza's god")
