Most people think that it's the expensive products that work, I'm not saying that they don't. Try using Aussie shampoo and conditioner. There is one for curly hair. Also try infusium23 a leave in moisturizing treatment it corrects and restores dry hair.

I like Biosilk Silk Therapy Treatment and the Smoothing Balm. Mmmm, good stuff for dry/curly hair!

a nice wide tooth comb would is almost essential to help get the tangles out without a lot of hassel (ie http://mp.hairboutique.com/product.asp?ProdID=115176&CtgID= the one on the left in the picture). a good conditioner is important - I like tresseme products for dry hair. vo5 hot/warming oil will also address the dry part, although i'm not sure how practical that is for a 6-year-old. you might also consiter washing his/her hair every other day instead of every day, which allows the natural oils in her hair to build up. for frizz, there are a lot of anti-frizz products out there. i personally like the "lots of curls" styling gel from la bella and the la looks anti-frizz gel (which aren't horrendously expensive like some of the products out there).

My daughter has dry and curly hair as well. I have tried millions of products to get her hair to bounce, shine and just look healthy. I became so frustrated, I went to her pediatrician and mentioned it. She knew I am a name brand kinda Chick. She was so hesitant to tell me to use DOVE products. Yes simple drug store brand. She recommended Dove sensitive dry body wash for her hair. I thought she was NUTZ! So I tried it and also added the spray on detangler thingy and my daughter gets compliments everywhere we go. Good luck!

Make sure you use an intense conditioner and try a leave in conditioner. I like products that contain silk and oil extracts. NO BEESWAX that will cause your hair to fall out and clog your pores.

I like Silk Effects, Sebastian, and Motions.

If you loke to spend alot of $ on products, Kerastasse is good. But, Loreal Smooth Vive, Pantene, and Aussie work just as well. Trust me.
