For the past week my upper back has been killing me I dont know a reason for it I havent been doing anything to strenuous but I also have a rash but I cant think of any back problems that also come with a rash. Can anyone tell me what causes your upper back to hurt?

hopefully nothing major is wrong with me I have two boys and my husband is in Iraq so it makes it hard to go to the doctors

Upper back sounds like you could be holding onto stress in those muscles. Try a hot bath and a heating pad with an aleve. If you don't get relief from OTC meds like aleve and it continues you should have it checked out, but it sounds like stressed muscles.

try exercising. most back pain(s) develop by not keeping the muscle(s) strong. actually your abs are suppose to help support your upper torso, so maybe 6 - 8 weeks of stretching and exercising would help. by not doing strenuous activities, they torso can develop soreness. get up and start by stretching and moving a little more. there is no pill for the cure, only motion

It could also be GERD, but you really should try to get someone to watch the kids so you can see a doctor.

No one can properly diagnos you over the internet.

CHANGE WAY YOU SLEEP AND SIT SPECIALLY WHEN WATCHING TELEVISION TRY TO SIT PROPERLY ( AM SURE YOU ARE SITTING ON SOFA NOT CORRECTLY )
YOU WILL HAVE TO WALK IN SWIMING POOL 3 TIMES A WEEK AND 20 TO 30 MIN EACH TIME
IF PAIN IS FROM UP / LEFT SIDE OF BACK AND INCREASING FROM TIME TO TIME ( FEW TIMES A DAY ) VISIT YOUR DOCTOR TODAY

maybe the way you sleep make your upper back hurt.sleep on your right arm.it makes u sleep well.good for your health.try it.even your upper back is hurt,u still look pretty in your picture.good luck girlz....

from the shoulder radiating in is probably stress. get a massage...from the spine radiating out could be more serious. i sleep with my arm under pointed toward my head..sometimes when i wake..i'm sore as a b**ch....

I really can't tell what you might have cause my pain is the lumber. I had it fused last and it STILL hurts.................just PLEASE get to a goof ortho dr. so that he can do an MRI on my back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK
