im thinking that this would be the final thing that i ought to do to save our relationship. Im planning to ask for a reconciliation...i feel like i did nothing enough to save ours and i firgured that this would be the one final test before i could let him go and just move on without him in my life - even as a friend - if he doesnt want any recon any more. But is this a wise move?

i want to especially get men's point of view. When a girl asks you for a reconciliation, would you see it as a way too pathetic move? or not?

please don't, i have been there not only once, it always hurt to be rejected. once a guy dumped you, and never comes back or make any effort to win you back, it only mean that he is not interested anymore. or if you have win him back by asking for a recon, chances there are that he might take you for granted because he will think that u can't move on without him. let him find his way to regain the relationship, if he is still interested. don't stoop so low on his level, ok? just move on and if the relationship meant to be reconciled, even if you dont find the way, it will find his way. ok? goodluck and cheer up... there are lots of fishes in the ocean, and stars in the universe.

I feel you should to lay it on the line. My ex told me he was having cold feet and I had to cancel a weeklong trip to visit him. I was pissed at first and we went back & forth for three weeks by email. Well when he said, "the best thing for both of us is to move on w/ our lives". I thought my heart was going to fall out. If you can imagine yourself never talking to or seeing him ever again & not feel like puking, then don't ask him because he probably is not worth it. I feel that if you put the offer out there it puts you in a vulnerable but admirable spot. If he does not accept then you know you have done your best.

Dont stay in it simply from feelings of failure or loss of relationship.

Some relationships are simply not meant to be.

But if you feel that yours could be saved with a little effort from both parties, and if your ex is interested and willing to work on the relationship with you, then you have a good chance of getting back together.

Remember that you are unlikely to be able to get him to change unless he is willing to work on it, and the same goes for you. Effecting permanent change is not easy but is possible if you really are committed to it.

Please don't. You'll regret it. Sometimes, it helps to look at the situation in a simplistic way. If he dumped you and he hasn't come back, it means he isn't interested anymore. Don't lower yourself to chase someone who doesn't seem to be interested in making any effort to be with you. Men always go after the person they want.

If he dumped you , he is obviously already done...why put yourself and him through that?
