The Gospels contain several apparent predictions of Jesus regarding his return at the end of the world. These include the Olivet discourse (Mark 13, Matthew 24, Luke 21), The Sheep and the Goats (Matthew 25:31-46), Luke 17:20-37, Mark 8:34-9:1, Matthew 16:24-28, Luke 9:23-27, Matthew 10:17-42, John 6:39-54, 11:24, 12:48, 14:3. Jesus says that the "Son of Man is going to come in his Father's glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what he has done" (Matthew 16:27), and that this will occur in a sudden, non localised fashion "like the lightning, which flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other" (Luke 17:24), and that "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father" (Mark 13:32). (NIV)

Jesus said to them: "Watch out that no one deceives you. Many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am he,' and will deceive many. When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are the beginning of birth pains. ... How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers!" (Mark 13:5-8,17 NIV)
The prophetic language of the Book of Daniel and the Book of Revelation are also considered to be fruitful sources of study.

Also some verses from the Gospels are often seen to imply that Jesus would return before the death of those to whom he was talking. Both Matthew and Luke include the statement, "This generation will not pass away until all these things have taken place" (Matthew 24:34, Luke 21:32)[1]. Indeed, C.S. Lewis called this "the most embarrassing verse in the Bible" [2], though many Christians interpret the word generation from this verse in some different manner. Another verse is more explicit: "Truly I say to you, there are some of those who are standing here who shall not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom" (Matthew 16:28, Mark 9:1, Luke 9:27). This reference is related to the disciples who saw Him transfigured on the Holy Mount. See also Wandering Jew, Preterism. John the Apostle did see a vision of the Second Coming as recorded in Revelation, and could be considered to be a fulfillment of this prophetic statement. Another possible resolution of the statement is suggested by the belief commonly held in Mormonism that John the Apostle had the nature of his body changed and was allowed to "tarry" on the earth until the coming of Christ and thus at least one person of that generation might still be living even at this day.

Jesus Himself warned us against speculating about the timing of His return or claiming we know when it will take place. He said, "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father" (Matthew 24:36).

But Jesus did tell us certain events must take place before He returns, and these will be like signposts pointing to His coming. For example, He told us that He would not come again until the whole world has had an opportunity to hear the Gospel: "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come" (Matthew 24:14). Certainly we see this happening today through television, radio, publications and the Internet.

Jesus also told us that we would see an outburst of evil on an unprecedented scale before He comes again, as Satan lets loose his fury in a final effort to defeat God's plan: "When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come" (Mark 13:7). Can anyone read the headlines today and doubt the reality of Satan's power?

No, we don't know when Christ will come again—but we don't need to know! Our responsibility is still the same: to love Him and live for Him with all our strength. Is this your goal?

Scripture timelines are in sequence and on track: (Israel is in place again, the Middle East clamours for the physical destruction of the Jews and now slowly but surely our own for the removal of Christianity spiritually from hearts and minds)

The exact time is given in Scripture, but it cannot be placed by man, only by God:

2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Towards this end, a loose conglomerate of pagan religions under no concrete leadership (so far) is gaining popularity and adherents through deception (so-called Christ consciousness) and a return to the original sin (the human desire to be gods as these promise). In this regard they await the last great "teacher" of mankind, and some among them actually do call him Lucifer(the "light-bearer" not Satan as we know him). Meanwile Satan's other created heresies (Islam and atheism) attack Christians and Jews in order to destroy and make way for the New Age through a mass banning of monotheist religions.

This further explained in the Cathechism of the Catholic church and other mainline churches:
"Before Christ's second coming the Church must pass through a final trial that will shake the faith of many believers. The persecution that accompanies her pilgrimage on earth will unveil the "mystery of iniquity" in the form of a religious deception offering men an apparent solution to their problems at the price of apostasy from the truth. The supreme religious deception is that of the Antichrist, a pseudo-messianism by which man glorifies himself in place of God and of his Messiah come in the flesh." (Cf. 2 Thess 2:4-12 Thess 5:2-3; 2 Jn 7; 1 Jn 2:18, 22)

Since the world-wide apostasy has not completely occurred yet, this could mean probably be less than the end of this generation, depending on how apostasy accelerates. It took Hitler(a New Age forerunner of the next anti-Christ) only 10 years to turn Germany into a New Age / occult mass-consumer so we can understand the signs but only the Father knows the exact time.

- There will be a widespread conversion of the Jews
"The glorious Messiah's coming is suspended at every moment of history until his recognition by 'all Israel',' for 'a hardening has come upon part of Israel' in their 'unbelief' toward Jesus (Romans 11:20-26; cf Mt 23:29) This has also been the understanding since the church fathers, including St Augustine who is quoted.
"In connection with the last judgement, therefore, we who believe can be sure of the following truths .. the Jews will believe "

According to a song, Jesus will return at the end of the world. According to the bible he says, "I will come like a theft." that means he will come unexpectedly, like a surprise!

I believe very soon, about 8 years ago I heard an ambulance outside my apt. and looked out the window, then went out on the patio to see what was happening, a lot of other things had been happening, and the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart and said so clearly look up your redemption draweth nigh. I think his coming is VERY SOON.

LOOK UP

I'm even writing a song about that and just began to get the words tonight.

When it is time for judgement. He shall separate all the good and they shall go up to heaven, all of those who have done wrong against his father shall stay in Eternal Damnation forever. No one knows when he shall return. the only way to know you're ready to go up with our Lord is if you repent and don't do anything criminal or stupid like answer this question with such ignorant replies and say it is the right thing to say.

Respect my catholic religion and don't do anything evil and say it is God's doing.

No one knows when Jesus will return except for God. But be prepared, because if you have not accepted Jesus into your life by then. It will be too late and you will be sent into hell
