What qualities do you think are most desireable in a WIFE in a man's point of view?

I have too many friends who are girlfriends for years, years only to break up and have their ex marry another girl - who on the surface seem less "together" for the lack of a better word. Now I know that not all relationships will lead to marriage, but do some other single girls feel like "always the bridesmaid, never the bride"?

There has to be a difference between being a good "girlfriend" and being "wifey" material?

What qualities do you think are most desireable in a WIFE in a man's point of view?

I'm not judging my firends. But we are all wondering why men do that. They give us the impression there is a difference between girlfriend material and wife material.

Know your man well first before marrying him.
If you think that you already have more than enough knowledge regarding your future husband's moods, habits, philosophy and characteristics, then you are the best person to know what qualities your man expects from you as his wife.
Generally, husbands would like a wife to be patient, understanding, loving and most especially, good in financial management. The most important of all is communication - always find time to be with him and have a healthy conversation with him.

I'm a man, i will tell you.
there is a difference between girlfriend material and wife material

Girlfriend:
not too bright (so we can get away with stuff)
good looking (so we can show her off)
sexually indiscriminate ( yea, we like to experiment)
submissive (so we can get away with stuff)

Wife:
Confident (it would be nice if she would try to change the oil in the car herself instead of waiting for us)
Emotionally strong (Able to understand when we want to watch the game instead of listening to her ramble)
Empathetic (feel our pain when we have a boo boo, we are still little boys at heart) Please dont shout or belittle us, we have feelings too.
Wise (knows when to stop us from buying that 25ft cabin cruiser that we will only use 2 times)
Intelligent (Help the kids with their homework, PLEASE, i dont understand negative numbers)
Sensual (of course sex is always on our minds, if i get to look at home, i'm not looking elsewhere)
Beautiful (I'm exagerating here, you dont need to be beautiful on the outside when your sensual. just beautiful on the inside. I can SEE it) OH, yea, notice i put that last?
Most men are hopeless romantics and we expect much more than what we will ever get. You cant blame us for trying.

Supportive, understanding, patient, a good friend, your equal, your better half. especially your better half because she's you're team mate, you do things she can't, and she can do things you can't. I cook very well, but my hubby doesn't understand it, he can understand reason better than me. We were both raised differantly, my parents were very strict and verbally abusive and loud, his were fair but firm, understanding and reasonable, so, when it comes to raising children in the near future, we can work as a team, because he knows what to do and I know what not to do. When you are with someone you will know if she is the one, it'll be automatic. When I first met my hubby, I knew from that moment. GOOD LUCK!!

I've wondered this myself; I've had this happen to me and it sucks! I think they choose less together women because they are less "work," and expect less in the way of a relationship. I may be wrong, but I always feel vindicated when those marriages crash and burn.
