no, you do not need a degree, but you do need to be lucky. degrees will get you farther & they also provide often needed skills. otherwise, you may be behind in general knowlege of how to paint & general knowledge about the landscape. well, you are never too old to go to college and get a degree! go for it. go to school & display works for extra $ while you go to school.

Short answer from a guy in the States... no.

However, watercolor landscapes are so common, they are not likely to be displayed. Work that provokes thought or emotion would be more desirable.

If you can capture something more than the generic scenery then you may get attention.

Try photographing your work and posting it on a Yahoo 360 to get feedback.

Hit outside events to get discovered.

Try an angle then apply for sponsors like schools, trusts, philantropists, or organizations.

It depends. if u want to be in graphic designs for ad company u may need a degree. but if u want to be an artist "artist" u should find a mentor to learn from and live the artist life.

Nope.....in fact, you don't even need to be talented.
If you enjoy painting, you are already successful.
If someone else likes your paintings, you are very successful.
If someone pays you for your paintings, it is a gift.
Best of luck with your endeavors!
