My general guideline is twice my age minus 8, so if I'm 20, then the oldest I would date is 32. This guideline works well while your younger, at least it keeps the relationships legal.

There isn't really a cut off age. My mother was married to a man 15 years her senior before he passed away from cancer, but my husband and I are only a year apart. It just depends on the couple. But remember the man isn't always the oldest in the relationship. It should not be a matter of age, but a matter of likes, dislikes, if there is a connection, and so forth. Don't let age stop you.

there is no cutoff .. but there is the probability that if da guy is too old ... he'll already haf experienced all da things ur experiencing now and think ur juz childish .. (ie. freakin abt a career wen he'z alreadi had a career for 20 years) ... however .. it mite also b a good thing bcuz then he can use his experiences to help u and give u advice .. but then nowadays .. a generation gap is every 5 yrs ... so if hez too old .. u guyz mite clash in a lot of aspects and the relationship mite not work. .. bottom line: there is no perfect age to date.. juz a perfect match!

Death. Don't get hung up on numbers. I was looking at the rogue's gallery of singles and honestly, some older guys looked and sounded better than the young studs. My son got married last year to a great girl who is 8 years younger. First marriage for both. He actually looks like the younger one. They are great together.

I'm 21. I prefer dating guys that's at most 5 years older than I. But recently, i'm interested in dating a guy who's 9 years older.

This is a very subjective topic which depends heavily upon personal preferences as well as the age and maturity level of both parties involved. Parents are instrumental in setting limits of 1-2 years for younger girls who tend to carry it with them as they enter adulthood. (Parents are always right. Right?) Setting age limits might sound like a good idea in the beginning, but love has no age...and no limits! As long as two people are in the same "place" in their lives, who cares how many candles are on their birthday cakes? I certainly don't....and neither should you.

well if you realy love the person age has no boundries but some people will frown at a young woman with an old man but te guys buddies will pat him on the back and say god for you how ever people are always with some one older or younger it just depends on how you and the other person feel. don't let some other ideas make you loose someone you really love if they are older or younger then you.

It really depends on both your personalities. I was with a guy 15 years older than me for 8 years. I never noticed the age difference because we got along so well, had tons of fun together and he was slightly immature.

I'm 20 with a 29 year old boyfriend, and we started dating when I was 18. Love is Love regardless of age.

I'm 20, and I prefer to date guys around 23-26 years old, but I would date as old as 30 if the guy was really special.
