No. There are police officers who get some power trip and think they're high and mighty when they beat up someone or give them a hard time for no reason.
If it weren't for police officers there would be a whole load of criminals still roaming the streets looking for their next target and/or victim.
I give them my utmost respect. They have to deal with people and see the most terrible things you wouldn't even believe.

Everytime an officer pulls over a car, they risk getting shot. They search houses in domestic disputes to help a woman who has been beaten. They go into falling towers (the twin towers) and pull out people trapped under fallen concrete. Yes they do protect.

Those that really serve and protect are few and far between. Dare I say, the oldest of them too. They are past the testosterone stage and now need to make sure they make it in one piece to retirement.
Most take advantage of the ignorance of citizens regarding their civil rights, and rough them up just for the rush.
Just listen to the jokes and anecdotes among cop buddies off duty sometime...

Only if you are in the habit of committing crimes and are always getting busted by the nice, just doing their job, protecting people and property, police officers.
Depending on which country you come from, most industrialized countries, have "good" police personnell, while a lot of countries considered "third world" have corrupt/evil police forces.

Like an evil empire thing?
Not hardly.
Don't be so naive in thinking that the police is a huge conspiracy against the rest of the world.

See first of all, we have to agree upon the fact that they are all human beings. As all human beings on earth are not evil or all are not good, same thing is to all policemen.
They seems like evil due to the kind of work they have to do to complete their duty. And if u think about corruption, then almost all fields are infected by this virus.

Don't put everyone into one category. We don't know every police officer on the planet.
Some police are ruthless, some are really kind, and some are neither. The world is full of diversity.

First, it depends on whether or not you are an advocate of the police culture.
Second of all, it depends your experience, as a civilain, with law enforcement. Someone who has gotten a speeding ticket or has had a number of misunderstandings with law enforcement will not be sympathetic toward them.
Trust me, you don't have to get arrested in order to dislike the police. Or my screen name isn't TarKettle.

Nope. They are doing the job they were hired to do. Sounds like you have had some unfortunate encounters.
One way to deal with this is to stop breaking the law (to include traffic violations). This will drive the cops nuts and they will focus their attention on someone else.
