Goodness, someone else gets these hairs, too? It sucks, but at least I'm not alone in my chin/neck plucking.
I fear that it is genetic, as now that I think about it... almost every woman in my family has these hairs, too.

I'm 40 and hairs have found fertile ground in all sorts of places. Mammals (us) have hair everywhere. Everywhere. You also have hair in all sorts of luscious places. Keep plucking your chin and I will try and regulate my eyebrows. Hairs just make you one of us. Maybelene will try and make you feel weird to sell something. You are normal! Pluck away and enjoy--I am still starting to look like the Prof from Back to the Future. You are not abnormal. You are a mammal (human).

I have this problem. I am 42 yrs. old now and it seems to be getting worse the older I get. I guess I have had this problem for about 5 yrs. I think it is genetic and it definitely has something to do with hormones. Women have more problems with facial hair in their late 30's, 40's and up due to hormonal changes and menopause.

Its totally normal! Wax or keep on plucking. Or if you have money just lying around go have the hairs lasered off and you will never have to worry about it again. About 250 I think the running price is.

Not abnormal. It's hormonal. And your mother is also right, it can be genetic.
Certain ethnicities are naturally hairier. As women age, many begin to get stray hairs. And some younger women, who's hormones are out of wack can get hairy.
If you are concerned, as you gynnie.

It may be hereditary and probably hormonal. Higher levels of male hormones known as androgens can cause this. If it gets worse you can visit your GP for an anti-androgenic medication or you can have the hairs removed permanently with laser. HTH : )

It's completely normal and genetic. You can go to a special doctor and get hormonal medicines to help with that, because sometimes your hormones aren't completely in balance. My mom takes hormone drops for it, prescribed by our natural remedies doctor. As for me, I am still in denial.

Yup its normal. Abnormal would be having no hair anywhere. Funny how we do "normal" things to be abnormal huh?
