my friends name is lama and everybody in school makes fun of her and its noe weird its just a name and she thinks its weird so is it?

Yes it is weird, it's an animal. And I'm not saying that to be rude. Perhaps she has a middle name that she can incorporate into her first so as not to isolate the "Lama" part so much. "Lama - whatever her second name is" That might work. Aside from moving away from people who know you and changing your name from then on (if possible, why not?), that's about all your options are right there. Good Luck to you and your friend!

Like mentioned above, I think Lama is an extremely unique name. A more common name I've heard of is Lana, but Lama might be just a different form of it. I think the name is unique, yes, but not weird.

Does strike me as a bit odd, then again my name is Grev;) My actual name is one of the most common names and I always had at least 2 people in my class with the same name. I often would have liked an odd name. If your friend doesn't like it maybe she can go by her middle name.
