It could be a mental issue, but some people who are "book smart" lack common knowledge and social skills. When it comes to chemistry, geography, and other school subjects, they have amazing talent, but when it comes to being in a social situation, they have no idea how to react, what to say, or even when to make eye contact. Einstein was one of the smartest people on the planet, but he couldn't remember his own address. Not all intelligent people are this way, but some have so much going on in their brains that have to do with equations and science that they don't have room for anything else.

I thought a G.P.A. could only be 4.0 max. Intelligence is not a sign of maturity. Has he been examined by a psychiatrist? There are many things to consider.
