Eat less fat (especially butter, coconut and palm oil, saturated or hydrogenated vegetable fats such as Crisco, animal fats in meats and fats in dairy products).

Use nonstick vegetable oil cooking sprays instead of oils.

Buy lean cuts of meat, and eat fish, skinless chicken and turkey instead of beef.

Try low-fat snacks that have been baked instead of fried, such as pretzels.

Choose low-fat dairy products, such as skim milk, and low-fat cheese, yogurt and margarine.

Try to limit how many sweets you eat.

Eat no more than 4 egg yolks a week (use egg whites or
egg substitutes).

Bake, broil, steam or grill foods instead of frying them.

Eat fewer "fast foods" (burgers, fried foods), which are high in fat. Instead, eat more fruits, vegetables and carbohydrates (rice, pasta, breads, grains).

Drink low-calorie beverages, such as unsweetened tea or diet soda pop.

STOP MEAT and any sort of flesh in your diet. I cannot overemphasize this glaring yet still-not-understood fact. Meat is NOT meant for Humans, as can be scientifically seen by the dental anatomy and medical researches done on its effects on cells and tiisues of the human body. Those advocating a meaty diet do so
only out of slavery to their taste buds, and invent a multitude of reasons to justify that taste. If you want proof, just start having lots of fruits, nuts and milk for a month and see the effects on your whole sysyem, which includes nervous, emotional, temperamental, physical and spritual. The protein intake which the human body requires for strength (I mean real strength) is abundantly available in pure foods like mentioned above.

You'll feel uplifted and charged in a strangely subtleway which you may not have eexperienced before.Your faculties will sharpen, memory will be deep and you can sleep within a minute of hitting the bed. These are all tested facts, the only obstacle to bring a change being you, yourself ! (It is so so difficult to even slightly change your established life, (even for the better) that the human mind drags itself back to the old groove. This is true for all aspects of life. Its here that a deep sense of conviction in the above sentences can uplift you and you can fight the tide. Once on a new shore, you'll be able to help others the same way. I was helped thus too.Health is not just food which you eat, but also in the manner and type of food you eat and your attitude towards eating. Its all mental, if you analyse till the last sequence.

best of luck and positive health.

Well I would say, No sugar, salt, snacking or junkfood. No eating after 6pm. Drink lots of water. If you eat lots of fresh veggies and fruits like carrots, celery, apples, bananas and lettuce you will lose alot of weight very fast. Thats the diet I did and I only went on walks, I lost so much weight it was incredible. Oh and take a mulitvitamin to be extra healthy. Good luck!

vegetarian is the best diet - but because it's so restrictive, not many people know that.

Albert Einstein said:
"Nothing will benefit human health and increase chances for survival of life on Earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet."

can't argue with a genius :)

I joined Slimming world to lose weight but found the diet so good and felt so much better cutting out white bread and pasta and using wholmeal versions is so much more filling and better for you. Loads of fruit and vegetables..cut down on fat..trim visible fat off meat etc...grill stuff instead of frying it..basically it is just common sense, if you know it is naughty cut it out or reduce it down to a minimum..boring I know but if you eat healthily you can still afford yourselves little treats now and again...jeeeez I sound so dull

I was really successful with the Weight Watchers Plan - Flex Points. I got to eat whatever I wanted...I just had to make sure to pay attention to the serving size. I re-learned how to really focus on the food on my plate and how my body felt to eat it. I lost 35 pounds in 3 months...and, it was seriously easy! Best of luck to you!

If you are overweight it is due to eating too much , obvious ain't it ,cut down your meals by 25%, you'll be hungry but you'll get used to it. All that's happened is that you've gradually started overeating and at the same time your activities have reduced
