I'm really sorry if I sound ignorant cuz the last thing I wanna do is judge you guys before I get to know you, cuz I am all to familiar with having that happen to me, I was just never taught anything about satanists, and I don't know why I wanna know anything about u guys, I guess I'm just curious. But what do you guys believe in exactly? do u wanna go to hell? do u do magic? are u evil or just regular? Someone answer plz

Unless your a satanist or know a lot about the religion, I don't wanna hear your answer! It's okay if your christian or jewish or wtvr and giving me real answers, but I don't want anyone condeming Satanists for their choice, and I'm not converting to satanism so you guys can stop panicking.

I am a LaVeyan Satanist. I follow the teacings of Anton LaVey.
LeVeyan Satanists are Atheistic/Agnostic. We don't worship or even believe in a devil/god/heaven/hell. We use the mythological Satan as a symbol for Wisdom and Human Nature. It's not a religion. It's Hedonism mixed with a carnival. We worship ourselves and Nature. We also have a bit in common with Wiccans. We observe and celebrate the Wheel of the Year.
Do I want to go to hell? I don't believe there is a hell to go to.
Do I do magic? It's not magic. Sometimes it is necessary to do some ritual by manipulating the energies in certain plants or using a little psychology in a situation.
Am I evil? That's relative to who's asking.

Satanism has nothing to do with the worship of evil. Real Satanism (Spiritual Satanism) is all about a real self-empowerment through meditation and it's very positive for human beings. To empower your soul it means to get the power to influence reality with your desire, to boost your inner strenght and your self-esteem (personally I cleared mental obstacles that I thought wasn't possible to overcome). We know (and I mean we *know*) Satan as a real entity that has nothing to do with the bible's description. He is not the "devil"! He is the ancient Sumerian God Enki. The common idea that people have of Satan and Satanists is due to thousands of years of lies spread by the Catholic Church to keep us humans far from Him, and far from the truth. But it's not for our own safety, because Satan/Enki is not evil at all, I can assure you. It's because they don't want us to be powerful, they need slaves smart enough only to work in their leader's factories. i am not a satanist, i am a Celtic Pagan.
i have studied many religions and satanism happens to be one of them.
satanist's do not believe in god or the devil. they use satanist as a name to put themselves in direct opposition to the catholic church and the christian religion. the reason for this is because the founder (Anton Sandzor Levay ) was a church organ player and he would see the hyprocracy in the members of the church.
form one night at the carnival and the nest morning in church.
satanism repersents earthly indulgence and not spiritual pipe dreams (Anton Levay)
the laws of satanism are fairly simple and specifically prohibit
many crimes that is associated with them.
for example.
you cannot kill an animal unless it is for food. (no sacrifice or pleasure killings)
you cannot violate the free will of another human. (no murder or rape is included in this)
you are dualy cursed and marked for destruction if you bring harm to a child.
satanism represents vengence instead of turning the other cheek

I agree with the first poster, read the wikipedia article. For the most part, they don't actually worship satan. They don't believe in god or satan, they just believe in putting themselves first.

i was watching a show on tv and it was a documentary on a teenager who killed his parents because satan told him to he said. he worshiped satan and he said satan made him do it. i dont know exactly what they do to worship him but its a little weird.
