i have a friend that my boyfriend doesn't approve of. i met her because she is his neighbor. We are both bipolar, so we are kind of like a support system for eachother. He says she is 'lower class' and some of her friends are a little wierd and he says I should not talk to her because of it. I'm not like that i don' judge people because of how much money they have or what they look like. I DO love him, and I miss him. What should I do?

i know it's hard because u love and miss him, but he doesn't seem like that great of a guy. he sounds a little judgmental and he should support u and ur friendships. don't end a friendship because ur boyfriend thinks she's weird. my advice is to talk to him about it - tell him that he doesn't have to hang out with u when u are with her, but that u still want to be friends with her. he doesn't control u, u control u. so, if he still doesn't want to be with u just because of who u are friends with, then i would say try ur hardest to get over him because he's not worth it if he doesn't respect ur decisions.

Ok- your bipolar and your worried about a guy TELLING you who to talk too? First you need to worry about that bipolr part of you. Second, a guy who breaks up with you bc of a friend you have...isnt worth it.
You THINK you love him...and in time you will find someone way better

You need to give him one last choice. Tell him that the girl is not going to affect you as a person and try to also explain the support part. If he cannot accept that then he ain't no man worth crying over.

get a new life. Besides maybe he had enough of her hanging around you all day because she is your "support system" and maybe she really is lower class.
Anyway if you boyfriend got rid of you just for that reason then maybe it was for the best.
I know if someone kept hanging relentlessly around my wife all the time I get fed up too. Maybe you talk strange when she is around. Do a thelma and louise together.

Friends will be there to hold your hair when you go out drinking, remember that it's good advice.
He was usign her as a scapegoat to break up with you. It's hurtful, but it's true He wanted to start a fight with you and get away and he did.

Personally I have to say that someone who says that people are 'lower class' needs to examine their own attitude.
You mentioned that he broke up with you over that so perhaps you might want to find someone who does care for you and your feelings?

I think it is just absurd what he did. That is not a real reazon. I think he is hidding behind it to leave you. IF this friend of yours is a nice person and there is nothing harmful in that friendship...............just say bye, bye boyfriend. He just doesn't love you

friends are forever--boyfriends are not---if your boyfriend doesnt like one of your friends and thinks you should never see her again--then whats to stop him from telling who your friends can be and cannot be--
if it was me--ditch him and find a man that will accet you for you and your friends and you do same for him
