in the daytime i normally roller set my hair with 1" - 2 " magnetic rollers
At night i normally use 3/4" - 1" diameter plastic mesh type salon type rollers
What type and size of rollers do you use

I also set my hair with magnetic during the day and mesh at night
I use different sized rollers between 3/4" to 3" diameter to achieve either curly or wavy results
I do not like Velcro rollers as they get stuck in my hair and absolutely hate foam rollers as it takes too long to dry and also makes make hair to pooofy

My hair is natural curley, then i cannot decide it, but i think 3/4 is perfect.
