You should correct their notions about Wicca when they are speaking of it. If they ask if you are, just say yes. There is nothing to be ashamed. Religion is kind of like "race," but we have it inside. No point in feeling embarrassed.

I used to think all people that were practicing wiccan were bad .Then I talked to my husbands cousin who had all the stuff at her house and she said not all wiccan is bad and she explained some our into good not bad .So just make a comment not all wiccan is bad and if you dont understand it you dont have to believe it .Thats what she told me but it made me curious.People are scared of witchcraft because of religion ,being taught to stay away from evil things ,such as witchcraft and evil spirits. She mentioned we could go on a website and do candle sales with her clients on the wiccan web site thats how we got on the subject.I said I dont want to sale candles while someone is burning them to practice devil worshiping She explained it wasnt like that.

Obviously you coworkers have made a decision about a belief that they do not know or understand. So why tell them? Do they make fun of catholics, Mormon's, etc.

Talking bad about a belief/religion in the work place is a violation of labor law. Usually HR has a way to report this in a private manner. You may or may not wish to talk to them about it. Simply put, you are working in an hostile environment that talks bad about your religion. The term "hostile environment" means exactly that.

However, do not expect stupid people to do intelligent things. What ever your religion, making fun of someone else is not acceptable.

Answer: Don't bother telling your co worker, just point out make fun of Anyone religion is not nice. If that doesn't change the tone, talk to HR.

The next time they say something that you find offensive, say, you know if somebody worked here who was wiccan they might be offended. Then judge by the way they react whether you want to say more. Ask them if they found out a friend was wiccan if they would change their opinion. You might decide it’s not worth it if they are really going to be hostile, or you might decide they didn’t realize they were offending.

Just explain to them that you are. MAke sure not to act like you think your religion is better than theres, just state that you are exercising your right with Freedom of Religion, and everything should be ok. If not then they are pretty pig headed, and rude to say the least. Its a free country, and although I'm not wiccan, people should be allowed to pracitice anything they want.

Make them feel terrible. The next time they start downtalking Wiccans, just get really emotional and breakdown and just scream "I'M A WICCAN!" then storm off, then act real bitter to them when they try to apologize.

No Promises that will work.

Just say "hey guys, I know you were making fun of Wiccans because they are all fat, and wear black, and whine, and think that casting spells and lighting candles and invoking spirits actually does something. Well, I am here to tell you that I also am fat, and wear black, and for some ridicoulous reason think that casting spells and invoking nature is cool. So you guys need to deal with that. Okay? Or else, I am going to the priest, and priestess, and we are going to jointly cast some spells and hexes on you!". And then you stick out your tongue at them, and run home to put on your wizard cape, and tall pointy hat.

Sometimes, the best policy is not to say anything.
If you feel strongly for your beliefs then tell them but if your past experiences with them are that they will not take any notice and continue belitting or berating wiccans, then you might want to just let them think whatever they want to and carry on with your own life.

you can do one of two things:
1) tell tehm you are wiccan and see how things turn out.
2) ask them if they like you and total opposite things they would exspect from a wiccan person and if they say yes tell them then.

its a nice way t tell ppl off in a non harsh way.

You should tell them yourself. But if you are not comfortable with that, then you should tell your boss in private or go to the Human Resources department. It's discrimination and it's not right.

You have the right to a peaceful work environment. Free from discrimination of Race, Creed, Age, Religion and Ethnicity.
