Nothing, they shouldn't be asked to take it down. It is their right to have it up. If it offends you, get over it, and get used to it. It's America, where ever you go something is bound to offend someone, but we all have the same rights. And the confederacy wasn't(and isn't) all about slavery, there is more to the story. Read about the Civil War, after you read enough about it, you'll learn that. I hate to say this but it needs to be said at some point: get over slavery, it wasn't you, and you shouldn't be any better because you great x 10 grand something was a slave. Besides, the African people sold their OWN people into slavery. Again History, read it, learn it.

We have equal rights, EQUAL rights. You deserve no more, no less then the caucasian, hispanic, african american, native american, or what ever else, who is right next to you, slavery or not! No special treatment, equal treatment. That's what it's all about right? MLK had a dream that we would be equal, not that any specific group would be better or recieve special treatment because of previous oppresion of that group. If you want to be that way and say that, then think about this, the native american were oppressed first, special treatment: no, the came the different immigrant groups, Irish, German, Japanese, Chinese, Italian, ect ect, they were oppressed as well, forced to live as lower than human, and did they get special treatment at any point: No.

Chin up buddy, you aren't lower than anyone, but you not higher than anyone. Your are an equal. That's the way it is and that's the way it should stay.

Let it fly! You have every right to fly it, it is not illegal. I'm assuming you have the Confederate Naval Jack/Tennessee flag that has become the most "popular" version. Have you considered flying the Blood Stained Banner of the Confederate government? It really bothers me that hate groups have turned the Jack flag into a symbol of racism, I use the other flags to show my support for our South. It is not a flag of treason, but a symbol for our region, our culture, people, history, honor and what should have been our right to peacefully leave the Union.

Not knowing what part of the Country you're in its a little hard to respond to your question.. but I'll take a shot at it. Mostly in the South and parts of the West the Conferate Flag stood for State rights.. meaning that even if a State wanted Slavery or anything else it had a right by State law to Legislate regulate it in its own Borders. Some people are just as proud of the Conferate flag as you are of yours.

I wouldn't say anything. This is America the last time I check and as such they have a right to display a confederate flag if they so choose to do so. Just like Hispanics and may other nationalities display various flags reflecting homeland or meaning.

The only problem I would foresee is if they decided to display it higher than the American flag. Since I'm sure that this is not the case, my best suggestion is to 'live and let live'

NOTHING. But, I would suggest to you that you actually research what the true history of the Confederate Flag. Don't just assume that the "slavery-approving, ignorant redneck" label is correct. Do your own research- then make a decision.

Why would you want to say anything? This is America and it is within their rights to fly it. It only becomes a symbol of something negative if you allow it to. It is a shame if they are flying it for the wrong reasons. Rather than fly a Black Panther flag as suggested, why not fly a good old American red, white, and blue flag. A symbol of unity! Lord knows we all need to learn to stick together, as Americans! Peace2U&all!

as long as you are not paying their taxes or the up keep on their home it none of your business...........but you can go over and ask them in regards as to the history of "Their" flag. If they have it out there as thing to do ,they may be embarrassed enough not knowing anything about it ,that they might bring it in so that people will not know their ignorance whether or not you agree with their "politics' it is a form of free speech and if they get rankled by your intrusion there are lots of lawyers out there to make your life miserable....of course you can contact your own legal adviser..........but what ever ,you can expect consequences.......Good Luck

There isn't anything you can say. People have the right
to fly that flag if they want to. If it upsets you just don't look at it. I have a neighbor down the street that flies
that flag. I personally think that flag should be banned but that is just my opinion. I have the right to ignore it and
I have the right not to accept it's double meaning as well.

Wow, I feel bad for you. You got alot of responses but they're all shitty. I have found that most ignorant dumbasses that continue to wave the confederate flag are white trash low lives. They are very in-your-face people with absolutely no class at all. Do you really think just asking them nicely will get that flag down. It's up there purposely to offend. So, play fire with fire. You must also do something just as offensive. And when the battle begins, let them know in no uncertain terms that your offensive design/flag/yard decor whatever will come down when that stupid idiotic flag comes down. Good luck.
