NO!!! As tempting as it only leads to problems, usually ending with one of you seeking new employment. I've seen it happen countless times and as of yet it has never had a happy ending.

Nope. Wouldn't even consider it. I don't care if she was the hottest piece of *** on the planet. There are two reasons for this. One should separate work and home life. You date someone from work and when you go out, all you talk about is work. You end up in a way taking work home and that is never a good thing.

The other reason of course is not to invite possible professional problems by dating a coworker and be the center of office gossip. When you two do break up, can you possible co-exist in the workplace as well.

Do yourself a favor. Find someone away from the shop.

No, not any more, I dated a guy that I worked with and when it ended it was sour and just a real hostile work environment after that, so I would not date anyone from my company again, now however I have become close friends with a coworker and I have since then gotten a new job so we will see where it goes from here, but we are just friends for now.

Ouch, kinda tricky there. If you are not in a position where you can be put in the same area, or run into the problem of one of you becoming a member of upper management, would still feel that it's pretty risky. Most companies also have policies about inter-office or store personnel relationships. But nothing is stopping you from the two of you going out as friends.

I am doing it right now (dating I mean)

I have also done it before - yea its kinda awkward for the first couple of weeks after a break- up but then it just gets back to normal

My mom did it and they are still happily married 12 years later and we all work at the same company

Yes. Just be profession at work and romantic outside of it. You may have to notify your Supervisor or HR just to be safe. I'd never pass up on a great person because life is too short to let work interfer with your chance to enjoy it. When you die, you will never wish you had spent more time at work, but you may have wished you spent more time with people you cared about.

Note: The one exception is the military. There are some more stringent requirements there, which are quite necessary.

Yes, I did and were still together after 6 years. We don't work together anymore, mind you.
