Are you gonna do it at a pro's or not...?
If not, please reconsider. It is not worth it, wait until you're legal, and the do it at a reputable piercing shop. I know that it sucks waiting, but I did, and it was worth it. I know for a fact that you are obviously not aware there is more to worry about than a scar. there is much more to worry abot. You have to have the correct sterilized tools (No,boiling or burning a sewing or safety pin does NOT sterilize anything, it just gives you red hot potentially infectious bacteria!) Don't do it... I can't stop you, but you will not like an infected nose piercing. And if you get it infected, You do have a higher chance of scarring. EVeryone's different. A friend had hers done,a nd her parents made her take it out, and she scarred, and I know plenty of people that didn't scar... You have to have a sterile enviornment, have to be aware of cross contamination, you have to do so many things to be safe, It just won't be worth it.
Why pierce it, only to be forced to take it out...? A nose piercing is highly visible to parents... Just wait, dear.
like I said, unless a pro is doing it...I didn't see you say that, so I was just making sure..

maybe you should just wait till you are 18. thats why they have an age limit. you need to keep a piercing in till it is healed. because once you take it out the hole will close up right away. its a good way to waste your money........ for something that your just going to take out. when you first get it pierced you wil not be able to take it out for the first week. sicne it will be extrememly tender and sore. and when you move the jewelry around it will only cause you more pain. also most work environments do not allow facial jewelry to be worn. so you will not have a "crate on your face" becuase the hole will close up right away and no longer will you have a nose piercing......
so why dont you just wait till you are 18? so you dont have to worry about all of this?
also even when you do take it out you will still need to clean it regularly with sea salt soaks and piercing solution so it doesnt get infected since it is still considered an open wound....... other wise if it gets infected it can leave a scar
so just wait till you are 18. you will not be able to take it out for the first week or so so your parents will know that you went off behind their backs and got one..... a nose piercing is just liek a cartilege piercing (pn your ears) i just got my cartilege pierced on thursday and it is still extremely sore and i cant even move the jewelry and when i bump into it it hurts alot. and the crtilede in your nose is thicker so i cant imagine how bad that must hurt.... and fumbling around with the jewelry trying to take it out just so your parents dont know about it?? bad idea.........
but once the piercing is healed there will be a hole in your nose. the piercer that did my ears on thursday had 2 holes in her nose. obviously for her nose piercings...

your nose will not scar. If you take it out it will just leave a little hole. I have had my nose piersed for 10 years and I took it out 5 years ago and you could not even tell I had it done. Infact I just put it back in today and it was still open after 5 years .

I currently have my nose pierced so I can't tell you about scarring, but I will say Miss Murder is right
- mine was somewhat infected just once (PAINFUL) so if you pierce it, take really good care of it (I slacked for a couple of days and paid for it-altho I will say it healed or improved immediately with the right antibacterial soap)

i have no scar at all on the outside, the "crater" is on the inside of the nostril.... make sure you get pierced by a long term professional, I'm sure they know ways to reduce scaring and such.
best wishes

it depends on your skin. my sister has a nose ring for three year, and then decided she didn't want it, took it out, and has no scar. my friend, on the other hand, got his pierced, took it out five months later, and has a scar. it wont be big even if it does scar. probably a little indented dot, nothing noticable.

It depends on how good of a job the person who pierces it does. I've had mine done twice and I have a mark, but it's not that bad and it's easy to cover up with makeup.

it wont, if you dont mess it up when you pierce it and like rip out an inch of your nose. the holes come from having them in for years and years.
