the pain would increase everytime ou start to get used to it my guess is that physical pain would not be the main torture as much as pshycological torture like making you think that youre still alive but youre legs are gone and you cant talk or some stuff like that
but since hell is ruled by an ex-angel dont rule out the possibilities of abnormal torture we are merely human there are different dimentions and things we dont know exist out there what seems like agonizing pain to us may just be a mosquito bite to the things that live in the underworld besides this is just human logic when you talk about this its not human anymore and even if you do get used to it you will never be able to get out think of it like standing in line at the dmv only for all eternity and on fire

The Bible teaches that sinners will be thoroughly fed on (positioned out of life), both soul and body, in the hearth (Matthew 10:28). An eternal hell of torment isn't taught in the Bible.

I can only tell you this ,,,,,I suffered third degree burns ,,,,my
skin was on fire and the flames were two feet in the air,,,,I suffered
horrible pain for three and a half years and I did not get used to it
I DID NOT USE MORPHINE ,,about burning in hell for eternity ,,,
I cannot say for it would be arrogant for me to answer that ,,,,hating God is the only reason for a hell realm ,,,some people suffer a kind of hell now ,,,,,,,and I do not think they get used to it,,,

Well, I don't know. Does the Lake of fire burn any differently that a common Camp fire? Does the soul sense pain in a different way that the human body? I would suspect that if God created something that was meant to inflict pain for all eternity, it would.

No I would not get used to the pain cause to me ashes cannot talk. Burning for eternity means burning until you are no more and then you certainly will be feeling no pain or knowing of existence.

Good question, but we gotta know the logic behind it...
Hell, in essence, is being totally away from God's grace. And if God's grace is what gives us comfort, joy, peace and support even in the midst of pain, then what is the alternative for such grace in Hell that would provide such comforting "getting used to" feeling?
So my answer would have to be "No, there is nothing to get used to there...I for one do not wanna put that to the test"

Huh?
GOD does NOT punish someone for eternity for a short lifetime on this planet.
The wicked will burn, but, only until they are burned up.
Malachi 4:1 ¶For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.

Why is it that so many people believe it will be a physical fire? The burning pain will be the unrelenting desire to be with God and the pain of that loss will last forever.

I believe the greatest pain one is going to be feeling deceived and the separation from God for eternity. If you feel love, peace and contentment on earth, these feels come from God and you will no longer have these feelings any more. Instead because oneness and family is from God, your feelings will be replaced by loneliness, hopelessness and fear.
