i own a golden retriever, and she is the sweetest thang
Golden retrievers are sweet and they are great with anyone, especially children. Golden Retrievers are the best, they are so soft and my puppy thinks she's a lap dog.
They're easy to train and they are some of the greatest dogs in the world

That would depend upon where you plan to keep the dog and what type of personality you are looking for. The beagle is an awesome dog, very friendly, but it was bread for hunting, so you may end up hunting it! The yorkie, from what I understand is a good house dog, but tends to be sickly. I have never heard of the cavalier. The miniature schnauzer makes a good house pet and tends to be very energetic. The golden retriever is a larger dog that really needs to have a lot of space so you will need to have a large yard to keep it in.

I would say the Cavalier, Beagle and Golden Retriever are equally the same. I am getting a Golden Retriever in a few weeks and am planning on getting a Beagle in a year or two.

These are all wonderful dogs. Each person has to find a breed suited to them and other family members. For instance a yorkie may not do as well with small children as a golden or a beagle. Family, house and yard space are all factors. good luck choosing a pet.

That depends on how they are trained. You are comparing completely different types of dogs. For love and affection and faithfulness, get a golden retriever. However, the others also give love and affection. Your pick. I love them all but partial to retrievers and yorkies.
They are all good breeds.

That all depends on you. For me, Labrador Retrievers are the best, for my mom Chis are the best, and for one of my friends, Sibes are the best. I am of coarse biased that Labs are the most wonderful dogs, but seriously! They are!! They are smart, terribly cute, and very versatile. But I'm off the subject. Try going to a dog show and seeing the various breeds you are interested in. Talk to the breeders and search the Internet for information about each dogs temperament and lifestyle. www.doggies.com is a great website for this because it gives health problems in each breed as well. When you pick a breed, go to www.akc.org and look up breeders to find a reputable breeder. If they aren't local to you, call them and they should be able to tell you someone who lives close to you so you can visit them and have more one on one contact with their dogs.

I have a miniature schnauzer.. They are very smart dogs.. DO NOT SHED!! They also do not have an odor, like every dog does. They listen very well and are very good family pets. My dog loves the whole family not just me! SHe likes little kids and other dogs too.
I got my schnauzer house trained in just a few weeks at 6 weeks old!! Very easy to teach tricks too..

I prefer miniature schnauzers. As mentioned earlier, they don't shed or have much of a doggy smell. I have had several different breeds (and mutts), and the mini schnauzers show love & devotion like none other.

I researched for 8 months before we got our dog. We knew it was a very important decision for our family as we have 4 sons, the youngest was only 11 months old at the time. She's a purebred English Bulldog, awesome around kids, not demanding about walks, and the most loveable dog I have EVER been around. She loves to meet everyone! We are blessed to have her and I would recommend the breed to anyone!!! Please though, look for rescue sites first, adopting a rescue is always an amazing thing to do. :)

I have never owned any of the other breeds, but I can tell you that my Yorkie "Lassie" is very very smart. And a con artist too. We use pee pads to keep our dogs out of the yard. And we used doggie treats to train them. As he has gotten older sometimes he will pretend that he has used the pee pad and run to his treat cabinet for a treat. that is just one of the cute, smart things he does. And he is very lovable and loyal. He sleeps curled up at the back of my legs and he hates to see me cry. He will jump in my lap and try to lick the tears away. So in my opinion you can't get much better than that.
