Actually God's principles were created by man himself. The history behind the creation of God is that in ancient times people wanted to become leaders as in the "animal" world the leaders are always the strongest and most powerful but in the human society everyone is equal in the sense that everyone has the capacity to become leaders. So some people created the concept of God and later when everyone started committing "sins" they created the concept of Satan. To cut a long story short, Man created God and yes some of God's teachings must be spread. I say some because terrorists are just following what "principles of God" they have been taught.

God doesnt have a name.
Definately spreading Gods message is the most important thing. We dont need to identify God out of a crowd of loving all powerful deitys, he is who he is and there is only 1 of them. The only things that need names are animals and humans to tell us apart.

Anyone that is chosen would get the message over. Let's say Jesus and others know what is behind that name and Let's say God's message and many know and those that don't will know. So there you have it both is important and cannot measure without the other making both either to importance as one

From the many answers you've received shows the importance of knowing and using God's name.
Just using the word God or god as you did in your question, you had many assume that you were talking about their god / God.
That is why the God of the Bible used His name almost 7000 times, so that he wouldn't be confused with the gods of the nations,
Isa 42:8 “I am Jehovah. That is my name; and to no one else shall I give my own glory,
That is why Jesus said :
John 17:6 “I have made your name manifest to the men you gave me out of the world. They were yours, and you gave them to me, and they have observed your word.
26 And I have made your name known to them and will make it known, in order that the love with which you loved me may be in them and I in union with them.”
You can not separate the message from the God's name.

Which God? Their are many Gods. Some believe in the God of War. Some believe in the God or Peace; Some believe in the God of Self; Some believe in the God of money; and some even believe in the Goddess; Some do believe in the God of sex; and Some believe in the God of Walls, and Some believe in the God of lies; and Some others believe in the God of Children and which God to you believe in?
