So my ex is really nice and I still want to be casual friends with him, but he's not making it that easy. Instead of just saying hi in the halls and stuff like that, he's being way too "friendly", I guess you would call it. He calls me almost every night, talks to me every day in class, emails me once in a while, and will sometimes come and touch me on the shoulder or something in the halls. He even burned me a CD after the fact, and it had lyrics to the effect of you were great, my heart is broken, but I'll move on. Talk about awkward! And, he even called me the day after I broke up with him! I told him it was hard to talk to him on the phone, and you know what he did--called me the next day, talked for about fifteen minutes, and then decided to ask, "is this still difficult for you?" Ugh! Most people still don't know that we're not together anymore, even though we broke up a month ago. I'll tell people and they'll be like,"really, I didn't know." How can I get him to lay off

"restraining order"- if you are over 18-always works.

Tell his *** to lay off. He's either trying to make you come back, or rubbing it in. Unless he's that way even before and during your relationship, may be just you noticing only things that makes you THINK he's that way. BUT either or, when he asked "is this still difficult for you?" you should've laid him the bomb right there and told him yea it IS difficult, because you're being too friendly, like he's your best friends...not 'CASUAL' friends. And it's just better he steps back and disappears for a little bit so the unusual and uneasy feelings goes away, or you find someone else (if you find someone else i bet you 5 bucks he's gonna act remarkebly different, if not jealous.) But that's my 2 cents on it.

Gusy dont get the hint like girls do. You have to spell it out for him. Sadly it looks like you cant be 'casual friends' with this guy just yet.

Tell him you need your space and being around him makes it hard for you to get over him without beginning to hate him.

Be strick and firm ignore his phone calls and if he ask why you didn't answer tell him you were busy and if he ask you do you wan't to do any thing tell him you have to much to do to hang out with him the thing is is to tell him your busy. He will get the memo.

You have to give him some time to get over you maybe you should not talk to him for a wile and see if that works.

Just walk up in front of his friends and tell him out loud, please stop, just stop!

They will laugh at him and then tell him to get a clue and leave you alone. Just before you walk away look at his best friend and wink, then smile.

Your ex will not bother you again. It works.

You will need to be blunt about it. Even if it hurts his feelings, you have to do it. He will never back off if you don't...
