Sometimes "unknown caller" is someone with a different area code or someone not getting too good of service. They aren't intentionally blocking their call. A private caller INTENTIONALLY blocks their call. You can look on your phone bill and sometimes the unknown callers number will be on there. But for private callers you are out of louck! Just don't answer the phone! Good Luck!

that should be in your local phone book, and it does costs, but it be better to have a caller id.
unknown caller is a caller that the i.d. can't reconize, a private caller is one that asked the phone company to block the number from showing up on most caller ids.

I dun think there are ways or numbers for you to find out who is calling unless u have a caller ID like what we have in SG. WE know who is calling us. For unknown caller it might be that your mobile set does not hv the number of the caller, private caler is that the caller privatise his or her number so that no one knoew their number....

reverse phone number search compiles hundreds of millions of phone book records to help locate the owner's name, location, time zone, email and other public information.

Use a reverse phone lookup to:
Get the identity of an unknown caller.
Identify an area code.
Recall the name of a person whose number you wrote down.
Identify an unfamiliar phone number that shows up on your bill.

Well, if you don't like getting private numbers you can try *87 and that makes it so no one can call u with a blocked number. If that isn't the right * number check with your telephone company you may have a different one. But I don't think you can find out who was calling for free.

I too have received phone calls pertaining to the same subject. I told them I wasn't interested and hung up on them. I just thought it was some kind of sales. Thank you for the info. Next time I will try to get more information about them and relay any pertinent news to our readers.
