Easily, don't you think?

If not, you must not be paying attention.

God does not contradict Himself. If this being spoke in contradiction to Scripture, I would know it was Satan speaking. That's how I figured out that the Koran was dictated by Satan, not Gabriel. The Koran contradicts the Bible many times.

Well, God would not try to talk you into committing a sin, now would he? And Satan would not want you to do something good, either. Seems an easy way to pick out one from the other. GOd would not contradict himself by asking you to break one of his commands, while it seems that Satan would constantly be trying to get you to sin, lie, or contradict God.

The only way is to know God's character by reading the Bible. And to always be prayed up because the Bible says the enemy will come as an angel of light. So by having a good relationship with God will help you to discern what is of Him and what is not.

Would you be able to tell your own parents voice if you couldnt see them?

When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. -John 10:4

If we were to hear the voice of God we would know without a doubt it was him. Satan has been able to fool people before using a technique similiar to that. In the case of Muhammad (founder of Islam) he thought he was talking to the angel Gabriel who gave him a msg that was contrary to the Gospel. Since poor old Muhammad didnt know God or his teachings, he was the perfect sucker!

Would you know Gods voice if he spoke? Would you know the difference between an evil voice and an angel or Jesus himself!?

Two things God cannot do.... He cannot lie... and He cannot go against His Word. So if what was being said contradicted the Bible... like told you to kill someone... then it was not God... it was the devil.
Satan, on the other hand is a liar... and he is out to satisfy his own desires. He is selfish and self centered. He is contradictory to the bible....
It really helps to have a guideline... that's what the bible is there for

I'd adk myself the following questions:

1. Have I taken any drugs lately?
2. I am stressed out enough to see things?
3. I am I on candid camera?
4. Do I diagree with this guy/gals take on things?
5. Do I distrust this guy/gal and their advice?

If you answer no to all of the above than it is God.

Because the Bible tells me that His sheep ( God's People) know
his voice. I believe the Bible because it is the inherent word of God.

"Test the spirits..."

" Now the Spirit speaks expressly that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils, speaking lies in hypocrisy..."(1Tim.4:1)

"There is a way that seems right to man, but the end thereof is death

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who shall privately bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, bring swift destruction upon themselves". (2 Peter 2:1),

If the actions you take because of the words you receive do not glorify God, they're not from Him.
