It is okay to study other religion to know what are other beliefs. All religion are not the very same but somewhat relates to the same true God. When you are in the right relations and spirit of the Lord thy God you will surely know. You can test try and prove God and he gives us this okay in his word. So in order to know one has to study other religion to be informed about it. But hold fast ot your beliefs and keep the faith and be not shaken with occults religion by no means.

Yes I think that it is important because you will get a better understanding of other people's faith, instead of relying on others and the media to try and explain what they "think" they know about a religion. By studying it yourself you will form your own opinion.

Sure. Perhaps doing so could convince people that no true faith exists, and then society would move forward as more people recognize that humans are naturally atheists.

I'm in the process of figuring out what works for me, so studying other things is definitely important for me.

We are mandated as being Christians to witness and take disciples. It is good to be educated in what religions are out there so we can being people to the knowledge and salvation of Christ.
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. -2 Corinthians 10:5

Yes. you shold have knowledge on other stuff/alternative. but need not try all.
Even if you choose to eat at MacDonalds daily, What is wrong in having the knowledge in what will you get in chineese restraunt?
I know your MacD salesperson will not like it though.

REason 2: so that u understand why others act the way they do. after a little while, u start respecting them.

Quite so so you understand other aspects of human philosophy and understand other sides of humanity. YOu must respect them though
